Chesapeake Paddlers Association (plus the local EMS store and the regional Epic Representative) co-sponsored her talk at Annapolis, Maryland (in late June) during her swing up the East Coast. If I'd have known how to get in touch with you, I'd have definitely invited you to the Annapolis. You were certainly one of Freya's stalwart supporters during the OZ circumnavigation. Kerry,
Probably you could get Freya to come to Pittsburgh if a local outfitter or kayaking club could put it together … and it fit in with her travel plans. I also like "only boring women have immaculate houses" (on a magnet proudly posted on my refrigerator.) We recently beat the world record for a single mass of kayakers -- over 1100 rafted together at the confluence of the Three Rivers downtown -- so there are plenty of paddlers in the area from whom to draw a crowd, I think.
